Available surface finishes and treatment options for Switches & Sockets.
The choice of finish depends on the end application. For painted furniture, use Sanded or Pre-Primed finish. For visible surfaces, Pre-Laminated or Veneer Faced offers the best aesthetics. For wet areas, always specify BWR/BWP Treated finish regardless of the surface finish chosen.
Plan switch positions on interior elevation drawings.
Group switches logically—bedroom entry: fan, main light, AC.
Use 5A sockets near study tables and beds for convenience.
Do not position switches behind door swings.
Do not mix different series on the same wall—it looks inconsistent.
Avoid placing sockets too low—300mm minimum from finished floor level.
Specify at least one USB socket per bedside wall—it is one of the most appreciated details by clients after occupation.
