Available surface finishes and treatment options for Glass & Mirrors.
The choice of finish depends on the end application. For painted furniture, use Sanded or Pre-Primed finish. For visible surfaces, Pre-Laminated or Veneer Faced offers the best aesthetics. For wet areas, always specify BWR/BWP Treated finish regardless of the surface finish chosen.
Always use toughened glass for shower enclosures, railings, and door panels.
Get toughening done before any cutting or drilling.
Use silicone sealant for glass joints.
Never cut or drill toughened glass after processing.
Do not use plain float glass in safety-critical locations.
Do not use mirror in steamy bathrooms without good ventilation—backing corrodes.
For bathroom shower enclosures, minimum 10mm toughened glass is recommended. 8mm is the minimum, but 10mm feels more solid and premium.
