Note on Finish Selection

The choice of finish depends on the end application. For painted furniture, use Sanded or Pre-Primed finish. For visible surfaces, Pre-Laminated or Veneer Faced offers the best aesthetics. For wet areas, always specify BWR/BWP Treated finish regardless of the surface finish chosen.

Do's, Don'ts & Designer Tips

Do's

Specify solid core doors for bedrooms and bathrooms — hollow core feels cheap.

Use WPC or membrane doors for all wet areas.

Ensure door frame is fixed plumb and level before door is fitted.

Don'ts

Do not use wood flush doors in bathrooms — they swell and warp.

Do not skip door closers on heavy exterior doors.

Do not specify handles before finalising door finish — they must coordinate.

Designer Tips

Designer Insight

Budget 15–20% of door cost for quality hardware — a Rs. 25,000 door with Rs. 500 handles looks incongruous and feels cheap immediately.
