The choice of finish depends on the end application. For painted furniture, use Sanded or Pre-Primed finish. For visible surfaces, Pre-Laminated or Veneer Faced offers the best aesthetics. For wet areas, always specify BWR/BWP Treated finish regardless of the surface finish chosen.
Do's, Don'ts & Designer Tips
Do's
Always use FR core ACP for buildings above G+2 floors
Seal all cut ACP edges with edge sealer
Use Corian only with a certified fabricator — joints must be invisible
Don'ts
Do not use PE core ACP for exterior cladding on multi-storey buildings
Do not cut solid surface with regular woodworking blades — use carbide
Do not install ACP without proper aluminium sub-frame
Designer Tips
For exterior ACP above ground + 2 floors, FR (Fire Retardant) core is legally mandatory in India since the fire safety norms revision. Always confirm with your structural consultant.
